Getting efficient at support is a must for every WordPress developer out there. Whether you have to support your own products, or maintenance work, you’ll have to do it fast, in time and with little to no cost of your development time.

Over the course of my existence as a WordPress Designer and Developer, I struggled with supporting my products and I wanted to offer the very best support possible for my customers. After all, they are the one who trusted their money with my products. But they actually trusted me, as a developer, to be there for them.

There’s been this hassle, register here, register that, provide this, provide that. Hopefully now, I’m making everything simple again. From now on, I’ll provide support for all my ThemeForest customers and all upcoming customers via the new Support portal. I juggled with a ticket system, and used till now a bbPress forum, but nothing suits better the customer than plain-old e-mail support. Everyone knows how to use it.

Thanks to Helpscout and Gravity Forms, my customers can receive support hassle-free and I can handle their requests in a nice centralized manner. The support forum will still be available for people to search if they need something, however, new posts won’t be allowed anymore as I’m ditching the forum system from my flow. Also, bear with me while I’m moving all the documentation and a new improved Knowledge Base online. More to follow on that soon.
